CameraTweak Adds New Features To Enhance Native Camera App

A new jailbreak tweak called CameraTweak aims to improve the built-in native Camera app.

It adds new features to the native Camera app such as separate Focus and exposure views, frame rate settings while video recording etc.

Here’s the list of new features that the jailbreak tweak adds to the iOS camera app:

for the Photo camera:

  • Separate Focus and Exposure views
  • Lapse Timer mode
  • Timer mode
  • Composition overlays

for the Video camera:

  • Separate Focus and Exposure views
  • Frame rate settings
  • Resolution settings
  • Frame Guide

It also adds a white balance lock for both Photo and Video camera.

After installing the tweak, these features are accessible right from the Camera app. The tweak doesn’t add any new settings to the Settings app.

You can check out the video walkthrough of the tweak below:

CameraTweak is available on Cydia for $0.99. It is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. It is also compatible with iOS 5 and higher (including iOS 6).

As always, let us know what you think in the comments below.

Edit: It semi-works, but all the features are 100% transparent.
The only thing I see is the “Timer 6 Sec” when I tap on the blank space next to my camera button.

Works great with my iPhone 4S but when I change the frame rate for videos you cannot view them through photos. All you hear is sound but no video. Is this normal?
