Apple To Release iOS 6.0.1 In Coming Weeks

iOS 6

BGR has just reported that Apple has started carrier testing iOS 6.0.1, which will include fixes for bugs such as the flickering lines issue on the keyboard reported by many iPhone 5 users, camera flash issue etc.

It has been over month since Apple released iOS 6.0 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, which included over 200 new features.

BGR reports:

iOS 6.0.1 should fix the horizontal lines bug on the screen when the keyboard or app folder is open, and it will also fix a problem with the camera’s flash not going off.

In addition, the new software will improve Wi-Fi support, fix cellular data not working in some cases, add a consolidated cellular data switch for iTunes Match, fix a bug that allowed access to Passbook pass details from the lock screen, and also finally fix the bug that caused Exchange meetings to be unexpectedly cancelled for the entire calendar invite group.

BGR also reports that Apple has started testing iOS 6.1, but is unlikely to ship with ‘iPad mini’ that is widely expected to be unveiled tomorrow.

Last year, Apple had released iOS 5.0.1 within four weeks of releasing iOS 5.0, so it won’t come as a surprise if Apple releases iOS 6.0.1 very soon.

What about the battery meter? My battery meter goes down very quickly then sits at one percent for a good bit. Will the battery percentage get a fix too?

    • chubaka

All you have to do is calibrate your battery for that problem. Just drain it. Problem solved.

Shut up you bunch of babbling baboons!! Most of you never owned an iPhone, especially an iPhone 5. You are most likely disgruntled android users. For those considering an iPhone, please don’t listen to these clowns. While there have been some bugs, no one works harder than Apple to fix them. You would slow down the internet if you had to list all the bugs in the android operating system which is made for 180 different phones. Android is no way near as secure. How could it be when it operates on 180 different phones? IOS is only on iPhone. much more fluid, more secure, and constantly being polished.
