Apple To Release iOS 6.0.1 In Coming Weeks

iOS 6

BGR has just reported that Apple has started carrier testing iOS 6.0.1, which will include fixes for bugs such as the flickering lines issue on the keyboard reported by many iPhone 5 users, camera flash issue etc.

It has been over month since Apple released iOS 6.0 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, which included over 200 new features.

BGR reports:

iOS 6.0.1 should fix the horizontal lines bug on the screen when the keyboard or app folder is open, and it will also fix a problem with the camera’s flash not going off.

In addition, the new software will improve Wi-Fi support, fix cellular data not working in some cases, add a consolidated cellular data switch for iTunes Match, fix a bug that allowed access to Passbook pass details from the lock screen, and also finally fix the bug that caused Exchange meetings to be unexpectedly cancelled for the entire calendar invite group.

BGR also reports that Apple has started testing iOS 6.1, but is unlikely to ship with ‘iPad mini’ that is widely expected to be unveiled tomorrow.

Last year, Apple had released iOS 5.0.1 within four weeks of releasing iOS 5.0, so it won’t come as a surprise if Apple releases iOS 6.0.1 very soon.
