9to5Mac has posted the list of 24 different model numbers, which they claim are for the iPad mini and the revised iPad.
Apple is widely expected to unveil the smaller and cheaper iPad and probably even a revised version of the iPad at the media event on October 23.
According to the list, which shows four variants, P101, P103, P105 and P107, it appears Apple is set to launch four different models of iPad mini in each capacity and color. With rumors of a Lightning connector in a updated iPad 3, it’s possible two of the four models are for that. The models listed are also marked “Good”, “Better”, and “Best”, which seems to indicate there are three storage capacities.
With the three storage capacities, four models, and lastly two colors denoted by “A” and “B” (likely black and white), Apple will launch 24 new iPad models. Apple will also be selling 10 packs of iPad minis to education for a discount, according to the SKUs.
The iPad mini is expected to come with a 7.85-inch display with a narrower side bezel and 1024×768 resolution (same as the iPad 2 and the original iPad), it’s also supposed to be a lot thinner and lighter than full-sized iPad.
Meanwhile, the revised version of the full-sized iPad is speculated to come with the lightning dock connector, updated heat dissipation mechanism and support for 4G LTE networks in other international markets.
Apple is also rumored to launch the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro, redesigned iMacs and new Mac minis at the event.
