As expected, it looks like the 5th generation iPod touch and 7th generation iPod nano went on sale in Japan based on the photos posted by Weiphone.com.
Over the weekend, we’ve received a number of tips from our readers that their new iPod touches and iPod nanos have shipped and are expected to be delivered late this week or early next week.
Japanese blog Macotakara seems to have managed to get their hands on the new iPod touch and iPod nano and have posted the first unboxing photos and video of the new iPods.
They’ve also posted early benchmarks of the new iPod touch powered by Apple’s A5 chip, which not surprisingly reveals that the performance is on-par with iPhone 4S also powered by the A5 chip.
