ActiSearch: Jailbreak Tweak Allows You To Search Cydia, Facebook, Twitter And More Using Activator Actions

Few days back, we told you about a nifty little jailbreak tweak called SLightEnhancerSearch that adds tons of new search options for the App Store, iBooks, Cydia, Amazon, Facebook, Twitter etc. to Spotlight.

A new jailbreak tweak called ActiSearch does something similar, but it allows you to invoke searches on Cydia, Facebook, Twitter, Google, YouTube, Wikipedia using gestures via Activator actions.

The aptly named jailbreak tweak allows you to configure gesture based actions using Activator from anywhere in iOS.

It currently allows you to add Activator actions for the following services:

  • Baidu
  • Cydia
  • eBay
  • FaceBook
  • Google
  • Twitter
  • Wikipedia
  • Yahoo
  • YouTube
You can configure the Activator actions via the Settings app.

Check out the video walkthrough of the jailbreak tweak in action below:

While using Activator actions to invoke search for these services seems like a good idea, we still prefer the SLightEnhancerSearch as remembering, which Activator actions is for which service. It also allows you to search for more services like the App Store, iTunes, iBooks etc and more importantly it is available for free, whereas ActiSearch is available on Cydia for $0.99.
