If you’ve just jumped on the Dropbox bandwagon—especially after the getting started post—or are a long-time fan, Dropbox updated its iOS app last night (odd late on a Sunday night, I like) with a few feature enhancements and the usual bug fixes.
Not much in the update notes:
What’s New in Version 1.5.7
• Improved video streaming
• Italian and Iberian Spanish language support
• Support for Password-protected Office documents (iOS 6)
• Various bug fixes and performance improvements
But improving video streaming would suggest that Dropbox is both boosting their infrastructure (video streaming is pretty intensive) and hoping to becoming the de facto file viewer on iOS. Support for password-protected Office docs, another key step to make sure that when people want to integrate Dropbox into their workflow—they can do so completely.
