If your’e an app developer hoping to push out to out updates—or price changes—over the Christmas Holidays, you might want to change your plans. Apple has confirmed that iTunes Connect will be closed from December 21–28 for the holidays

In an email sent to developers today, Apple let everyone know that if you want to get your app changes in, you better not wait until the end of December, and if you want to have a holiday sale price change, plan ahead there as well:

iTunes Connect will be temporarily shut down from Friday, December 21, 2012 to Friday, December 28, 2012, for the winter holidays.

Additionally, the following will be delayed:

Releases scheduled to appear on the App Store for the first time

Pricing changes scheduled through the interval pricing system in iTunes Connect

I imagine that from the 29th through 31st we’ll see a slew of app updates come through. I’ve always wondered how long it takes the App Store folks to get through a backlog like that…or if there is any rhyme or reason to when apps appear or are updated in the App Store.
