Unboxing the iPad mini Smart Cover

Now that we have the iPad mini unboxed and ready to be used, I thought I’d do a quick video showing the Smart Cover

The iPad mini gets its own unique Smart Cover with no aluminum hinge and fewer creases/folds. My first impression is that the nice, smooth hinge looks and feels nice. I do have to wonder how durable it will be in the long term. Beyond that, it’s a smart cover. It’s smart and it covers.

If you got an iPad mini, did you get a Smart Cover or are you waiting for third party covers to become available?

    I don’t particularly like the floppyness of the smart cover on my iPad 3. For my mini, I’ll wait until someone comes out with a nice, simple, MIni + Moleskine cover/holder

      Chris I think you’re on to something. I’d like to try folio type cases. Hoping to get some samples soon.
