Want an Unlocked iPhone 5? Check Back Tonight

9to5Mac is reporting that Apple might start selling unlocked iPhone 5s as soon as tonight online and tomorrow in stores

Great news if you have been waiting to buy an unlocked iPhone 5 in the U.S.:

Apple will begin selling an unlocked version of its iPhone 5 through its online store as soon as 9 PM tonight, according to our retail sources. The unlocked iPhone 5 price range will likely be $649, $749, and $849 depending on a choice of either 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB of storage.

We’ll have to check the Apple Store online tonight to see if this comes to pass. If it does, I’m betting a lot of people are going to be pulling out their credit cards tonight.

Just wondering what the difference is? I bought mine at full price on launch day and as soon as I connected to iTunes it was unlocked. And I tried a tmobile SIM card and it worked right away. So really, what’s the difference?

We’re not sure, but there should be no difference as far as we’re aware.

Got tired of waiting, went for the Note2, bigger is better, I’m still an Apple fan boy, however iPhone 5, is now lagging in feature set. Will wait to see what iPhone 6 has to get back on board.

Love the big screen, fast, Android 4.1 is close to, as good in areas, as ios6, iTunes still better, but I’m working my way through the different podcast apps to find one that works. And voice commands, seem to work better with my voice.
