Apple Working With Intel On iWatch – a Bluetooth Smart Watch

Chinese website TGBus reports that Apple is working with Intel on a Bluetooth enabled smart watch.

According to the website, the Apple branded smart watch will come with a 1.5-inch OLED screen from RTDisplay.

The smart watch will work with Apple’s iPhone and allow users to answer calls directly through the watch using Siri – Apple’s personal assistant feature.

The report notes that Apple’s smart watch will compete with Sony’s SmartWatch that connects with Android-based phones and allows users to read the latest text messages, emails or Facebook and Twitter updates right from the Android-based smartphone on SmartWatch.

Based on the success of Pebble – e-paper watch, which raised over $10 million on Kickstarter, there is definitely a lot of demand for a Bluetooth enabled smart watch that connects to smartphones like the iPhone.

According to the report, Apple could launch the smart watch in the first half of 2013. We’ll be definitely standing in line to get one. What about you?

    Oh, the grammar.

It looks like very soon I will be working to only pay for Apple devices.

I think they meant to say that you could make calls using Siri via the watch because I’ve never had the option to answer calls using Siri. With a mic, speakerphone and hopefully an iSight camera for excess would make this thing sell like hot cakes. Well, throw the Apple logo on the back and sell billions. Lol
