Ever since EA’s Firemonkey announced the next iteration of the popular Real Racing series – Real Racing 3 last year in August, we’ve been eagerly waiting to give a spin. It was also one of the games demoed at Apple’s iPhone 5 launch event.
It was initially expected to be released in 2012, but Firemonkey had to delay the launch to the end of February as they needed the extra time to get it right.
But they continue to tease us with Developer Diary videos of Real Racing 3. They aim to take the popular mobile racing game to the next level with a full lineup of real world tracks, a robust lineup of licensed cars from all-new manufacturers and real-racing experience.
In the latest Developer Diary video, Executive Director, Rob Murray and Development Manager, Chris Nicoll of Firemonkey talk us through the process and complexities of creating a track for their upcoming game. They also talk about how they created a brand new track from the streets of Melbourne, where the game studio is based. Check it out:
They also give us a glimpse of the gameplay video and it looks amazingly realistic. We can’t wait to take this one for a spin.
