and now we wait for the jailbreak they have been touting about :)

  • Kwopau

Meh…not worth upgrading. Plus I’m not into Jailbreaking so I’ll just keep mine at 6.0.1

Why are you here? Not trying to be mean. Just wondering.

unless apps start requiring iOS 6.1

      • Nick

Which they no doubt will. Especially for Apple apps.

    • surfin4hot

yeah? why are you here anyway? check the webaddress.

What exactly is the point of staying at a lower version if you aren’t jailbreaking… They bring out new versions for bug fixes, not just updates…

You could have a massive vulnerability that was patched and hasn’t been revealed by Apple to avoid exploitation…

No benefit to staying on 6.0.1 for you…

      • surfin4hot

right on! it’s time for everyone to update OS! hooray for evad3rs!

Apple has fixed the bug in iOS 6.1, which automatically enabled Javascript without user’s consent when he or she visited a website that displays a “Smart App banner”.

So do I update and then do the jailbreak later when it comes out, or do I wait for the jailbreak and do it together?

Wait for planetbeing and team to confirm that it is safe to update. I would recommend avoiding it for now.

dont think apple is brave enough to release new OS 6.1 knowing that evad3rs have jailbroken it. they prolly must have done a little update on their beta.. and jailbreak for 6.1 will be released later.

“Apple has just released iOS 6.1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.”

You did read the article and title right?

      • surfin4hot

yes i did. what im saying is that, yes, apple released OS 6.1 but they might release an OS 6.1.1 or 6.1.2 before jailbreak will be released. am just afraid how apple works these days – they have gone ballistic with updates and their products since they lost steve.
