StatusTab: Jailbreak Tweak Allows You To Access Status Bar Within Fullscreen Apps And Games

Alan Yip – developer of one of our favorite jailbreak tweaksBrowseInApp recently released a nifty little jailbreak tweak called StatusTap.

If you’ve been in situations where you wanted to know the time or the status of your iPhone’s battery life while playing a game (in full screen mode), then you may find this tweak useful.

The jailbreak tweak allows you to pull down the Status bar in apps and games that run in full screen mode to check the signal strength, time, Bluetooth status, battery life indicator etc., thus eliminating the need of quitting the app or game.

You can then pull down the Notification Center by swiping down on the unhidden status bar instead of the grabber. This means that accessing the Notification Center entails an additional step of pulling down the status bar, which some of you may not find convenient.

You can enable or disable the feature and also make the Status bar translucent or opaque via the Settings app (Settings -> StatusTab -> Style).

Check out the video walkthrough of the jailbreak tweak below:

StatusTab is available for free on Cydia via the BigBoss repo.

As always, let us know what you think of the jailbreak tweak in the comments below.
