Dropbox For iOS Gets Push Notifications For Shared Folders, All-New PDF Viewer And More

Dropbox has released an update for its iOS app, which brings features such as push notifications for shared folders, a sleek new PDF viewer and the much needed ability to sort your files by date modified.

The push notifications feature will alert users when someone shares a new folder with them, so you don’t need to check manually. It would also be nice if we can get push notifications where someone adds a new file or makes changes to a file in the shared folder.

It also comes with an all-new PDF viewer, which allows you to view pages one by one or view multiple pages in a grid, which allows you to navigate to any page by tapping on the thumbnail. Dropbox has used PSPDFKit for the viewer, which is a framework for displaying and annotating PDFs in iOS apps.

Dropbox 2.1 finally brings the much needed ability to sort files by date they were modified.

You can grab the update via the Updates tab in the App Store app or download the Dropbox app using the direct download links provided below.
