Evasi0n 1.1 Released To Fix Weather App And Long Reboot Problems

Evad3rs dev team has released evasi0n 1.1 to fix the Weather app crashing issue and long reboot problem.

Earlier today, the dev team had released updates for two packages on Cydia to fix the issues for existing users.

The new version won’t enable the Weather app on the iPad that became visible after jailbreaking using evasion 1.0.

evasi0n 1.1 is meant for new users who want to jailbreak their iOS 6.x device. If you’ve already jailbroken your iOS device, then it is not meant for you.

evasi0n is an untethered jailbreak which supports:

iOS 6.1
iOS 6.0.2
iOS 6.0.1
iOS 6.0

It is compatible with the following iOS 6.x.x devices:

iPhone 5
iPhone 4S
iPhone 4
iPhone 3GS
iPad 4 (4th generation iPad)
iPad 3 (3rd generation iPad)
iPad 2
iPad mini
iPod touch 5g
iPod touch 4G

FireCore is expected to release a new version of Seas0nPass that will allow you to jailbreak Apple TV 2. It does not support Apple TV 3 currently.

It is available for Mac (10.5 minimum), Windows (XP minimum) and Linux (x86 / x86_64).

My weather app was working perfectly fine after initial jailbreak. Cydia pushed ‘fix’ today to my phone and NOW weather app crashing every time. Not sure what to do now

    No need to do that. I had the same exact problem. Just remove app sync. Then go to cydia and reinstall UIkit tools. Reboot and weather app should work. Then you can reinstall app sync.

        Best way to get weather app up and running is to :
        
        1) restore iphone to factory settings
        2) restore back up of phone
        
        3) open up weather app, keep it running
        4) connect to evasi0n jailbreak – jailbreak it
        5) install the updates on cydia
        6) weather app should be working fine, as well as booting time
        7) install apsync – working fine
        8) idevice should be running smooth and weather app running well too
        
        PS: Dont install cydia tweeks that is not compatible with ios6 as this would cause errors and may lead to phone being slow or unresponsive.

        Dude just do what that guy said and if you cannot finf uikit tools then open manage tap on settings and select developer and then you can see it …re install it and remove appsync and reboot it
        
        then again launch cydia and install appsync…now evertything works fine

      You need to have developer set up as your user type in Cydia to see UIKit tools. Just tap on “manage”, then “settings” and choose “developer”. You can now see all installed packages, including UIKit tools. So, to recap:
      
      1. Uninstall App Sync from Cydia (under packages)
      2. Reinstall UIKit tools (go to the package and click “modify” then “reinstall”)
      3. Reboot
      4. Check your weather app, it should be working
      5. Reinstall App Sync (only the version from Sinful iPhone repo is currently updated for iOS 6.x, so don’t install any other versions)

      App sync works fine. You need to get the version from the sinful iphone repo, which is updated for iOS 6.x

If i jailbreak using evasion 1.1 can i still have appsync?

The initial jailbreak also breaks the volume button (volume down automatically mutes the sound), and the updated jailbreak makes it the case that one can no longer mute the sound quickly using the volume down button..

  Same issue here and on top of that my phone freezes from time to time. Especially when I’m listening to music. Hopefully this new JB will solve it.

after i updated the weather app work great but another issue came up after the update.wen i hold the power botton to slide and power off.my phone crashes and goes to safe mode.i only can reboot and power off using sbsettings.does anyone else have this issue???

  It could be due to a jailbreak app/tweak that is not compatible with iOS 6.x, as I am not facing that problem on any of my jailbroken iOS devices.

    I am also not facing this issue, have you got Winterboard installed? I have had nothing but trouble with winterboard, I’ve had crashes, reboots and all sorts…. Removed winterboard, not a single problem since.

finally been able to open cydia without crashing.

Good work dev team. Not bothered by the teething problems because its expected.

Out of curiosity how much Ram are people seeing now? Mines fluctuating between 300-630 en after killing all apps.

  And you should see all the tweaks I have installed… I see it as low as 222-219 before it jumps to 265, up to 500 after killing all. But it’s still smooth. I’m weeding out the stuff I don’t NEED for battery life now, but really I want them all. Some really great stuff. I want appslide updated, and weathericon. I’ve already contacted the devs. Would make it so much more well rounded. What is y’all’s fav tweaks? I like pandora Downloader and infinidock. Also, color keyboard with Mac Pro colors. Later

  If you have already jailbroken you don’t need this one at all. Just install the fix from Cydia, the 1.1 version doesn’t add anything else then the fix available in Cydia.
  
  To jailbreak again, a complete restore would be necessary.

    it’s the fix in Cydia that cuased my weather app to crash. it was working fine before updated. never had any long reboot issues.

  The fixes included in evasi0n 1.1 are available via Cydia for users who have already jailbroken their devices using evasi0n 1.0. Launch Cydia and you should see the updates for packages (evasi0n 6.0-6-1 Untether (v0.2-3) and UIKit Tools (v1.1.7)) in the Changes tab.
