planetbeing Confirms evasi0n Jailbreak Works With iOS 6.1.1, To Release An Update Soon

Apple just surprised us by releasing iOS 6.1.1 for iPhone 4S users to fix 3G connectivity issues.

If you’re worried about jailbreaking your iPhone 4S, then the good news is that planetbeing of the evad3rs dev team has just confirmed that the evasi0n jailbreak still works with iOS 6.1.1.

They however need to update the evasi0n tool. He has also said that they will be releasing the new version of evasion shortly, which will be compatible with iOS 6.1.1 for iPhone 4S users. So if you’ve already jailbroken your iOS device, then you may want to wait for evad3rs dev team to release it.

Please note that evasi0n 1.2 and evasi0n 6.0-6.1 Untether package disables OTA update, so if you want to update your jailbroken iPhone 4S, you will have to do it using iTunes.

We’ll let you know as soon as there is any updates, so don’t forget to join our Facebook Fan page or follow us on Twitter or add us on Google+ or subscribe to our RSS feed.

nice, not sure if it is related, but my call quality has been really bad in areas of lower than ideal reception (home) on my 4S, since upgrading from 5.0.1 to 6.1. My data has been fine though, but I’m mostly on wifi. I don’t have the excessive Outlook issues some have reported
