Facebook App Updated With Improved Buttons To Like, Comment And Share Posts

Facebook has just released an update for its iOS app.

Facebook 5.5 comes with a new button design that the company says should make it easy to like, comment and share posts in News Feed.

Here’s what’s new in 5.5 according to the change log:

New button design makes it easy to like, comment and share posts in News Feed.

Improved buttons to like, comment and share posts
Share button to re-post stories from your News Feed now available in all languages
Call friends for free right from Facebook (US and Canada)

We wonder when Facebook will fix the crashing issue, that seems to be still affecting some users.

I think the comments button is too close to the like button. After a lil buzz you might like something you don’t! Hate the update.

This does not work. It is not specific to my iDevice. It is not helped by uninstalling/reinstalling. Even the new Facebook 5.5 didn’t work. The problem is specific to my Facebook account. Here’s why:

When I am logged into Facebook on my iPhone, it crashes. When my wife is logged onto Facebook using my phone, it works perfectly. When I am logged into Facebook using the app on my iPad, it crashes. When my wife is logged on to Facebook using the iPad, it does not crash.

It only happens in the comment feeds (pictures and posts), and occurs as soon as the status wheel stops rotating (signaling that page has finished loading).

I have left bug reports using Facebook’s help section. I have sent them emails. There is nothing I can do, and it’s driving me crazy!
