While we eagerly wait for the evad3rs dev team to release the evasi0n untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1 – iOS 6 for the newer devices, there might be a simpler solution for the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 4G users who have already jailbroken their devices using Redsn0w.
MuscleNerd of the evad3rs dev team has revealed that they will have a package like the Rocky Racoon jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1, that will allow them to convert their tethered jailbreak to an untethered jailbreak.
However, it is untested fully so the conversion process may have some bugs. If you don’t want to take any chances then MuscleNerd has advised iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 4G users to restore to iOS 6.1 using iTunes to get ready for the evasi0n jailbreak. Converting from an tethered to an untethered jailbreak would save you the trouble of reinstalling the jailbreak apps and tweaks.
Before #evasi0n reaches 100%, those with iPhone4 and ipt4g tethered 6.1 JB should now restore to stock 6.1 (but NOT if you use ultrasn0w!)

There will also be a debian though. It’s less tested than the app but will save you from having to re-install your Cydia tweaks.
