Zephyr, Springtomize 2 Updated With New Features And Bug Fixes

Zephyr and Springtomize 2, two of my favorite jailbreak tweaks have been updated with new features and bug fixes.

Grant Paul aka chpwn has added the iPad multi-touch gestures such as pinch to close apps, four-finger swipe between apps etc for iPhone users.

Filippo Bigarella continues to add new features to Springtomize 2, which is already the mother of all jailbreak tweaks. He has added a new feature, which will allow you to add a 6th row of icons (excluding the dock) to the Home screen on iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5G’s 4-inch screen (as you can see in the screenshot below).

Springtomize v1.4.2-1 also includes number of bug fixes and improvements. Here’s what has changed in Springtomize v1.4.2-1:

  • removed leftover log
  • landscape switcher not respecting its option
  • improved Notification Center on lockscreen animation
  • “Start Editing” in App Switcher does not disappear anymore
  • landscape switcher not showing apps correctly
  • improved settings reloading process

  • you can now adjust space between icon rows
  • “Additional row” option to add a row of icons on 4″ screens!

Here’s what has changed in Zephyr v1.5-1:

  • Use iPad gesutres on iPhone!
    • Pinch to close apps. (using four-five fingers)
    • Four-finger swipe between apps.
    • Easily controlled in Settings.
  • iOS 6 bugs squashed. :)
    • Black screen bug. Yay!
    • Home screen paging swipes.
    • Many others.
  • Performance improvements.

chpwn is working on an issue where the grabber doesn’t work for swiping left and right.

I had noticed the black screen bug, but didn’t know it was because of Zephyr. I’m glad it is fixed as it was quite annoying.

Let me know how it goes in the comments.

After updating Springtomize 2 on my iphone5 the icons in folders are behaving funky… Whenever I open a folder, randomly, some of the icons are slightly (but obviously) bigger. And every time I reopen the folder more or less icons might catch this weird-icon-size illness. There doesn’t seem to be any rule behind it, it just happens. And my Springtomize use is very light, I have only enabled the 5 columns feature, and hid Newsstand and the Springtomize app, so I don’t think it’s my fault (I also keep a very minimal number of tweaks, none of which should conflict with the icon size in Springtomize).

Weird… Anyway, for now I have disabled Springtomize and I’ll keep an eye for a fix. It would be nice though to know if anyone else has the same problem.

I am having the same problem and have tried everything and have looked everywhere for a fix! It’s frustrating because everything was fine before the update.

Just found out on Twitter that the app author is aware of the problem and working on it! :) There is a possibility that there is a conflict with Zephyr.

(And don’t mind upgrading to the beta version, users report that it does not fix the problem).

          Thanks for the update! :]

Thanks for the update! :] What about when you change the carrier logo using Springtomize? Does it work for you? When I try to do it, it shows upon respring, but then it changes back to my default carrier after a second. :[

Hasn’t worked at all for me, but I haven’t tried it seriously, just tested it once, didn’t work and never tried again. I read somewhere that it doesn’t work in some AT&T cases but I don’t know more details, sorry.

The developer has released an update for Springtomize 2 (v1.4.3-1), which should fix the issue:
