Zephyr, one of the popular jailbreak tweaks that brings some cool multitasking gestures to the iPhone, has been updated with some new features.
It now comes with an option to restrict the side swipe gestures only to certain areas of the screen. You have the option to side gestures across the whole screen, which is the default or limit to only top half, the top two-third area of the screen or just the top quarter area of the screen. It will be come in handy if you use gesture based apps like Gmail, Facebook etc.
Zephyr 1.6.1 also brings back the Keyboard option while swiping from the bottom. This allows you to enable, disable or use the grabber while using the keyboard. The gesture is disabled by default.
chpwn has also added a new three-finger pinch gesture, which allows you to close an app, similar to four-five finger gesture available on the iPad. It’s pretty cool.
Here’s what else is new in Zephyr 1.6.1:
- No grabber on home screen.
- Fix issue with OpenGL apps.
- Only require grabber for first swipe.
The update makes Zephyr, which is already one of my favorite jailbreak tweaks even more awesome.
Zephyr 1.6.1 is available as a free update for existing users. New users can buy it for $4.99 from Cydia (Download link if you’re on a jailbroken iPhone).
