AllThingsD has just announced that Apple’s CEO Tim Cook will be kicking off next month’s proceedings with an interview on the opening night of the 11th D: All Things Digital conference.
Last year, Tim Cook spoke on a range of topics such as Apple TV, hinted at deeper Facebook integration and improvements to Siri in iOS 6.
There’s lots to talk about, from the explosive growth of the mobile market to intense competition from a range of rivals, most especially Google’s Android, as well as innovative offerings from Korea’s Samsung. It will be interesting to talk about the changes at Apple under Cook’s leadership, who took over from the late co-founder and industry legend Steve Jobs. We will also be inquiring about what new products are in the pipeline and how the company is faring in an increasingly high-pressure market.
Steve Jobs was a regular participant at the annual D: All Things Digital conference including his rare joint interview with Bill Gates at the D5 conference in 2007. Cook has carried on that tradition by kicking off the proceedings with the opening session interview at the event.
