Photos of iPhone 5S logic board reveals minor changes

Photos of what appear to be the logic board of the iPhone 5S have been posted on Japanese site Moumantai. The logic board shown in the images is nearly identical to the one found in the iPhone 5 except for a few minor changes.

The part on the left belongs to the iPhone 5S while the one on the right is the iPhone 5’s logic board. The iPhone 5S component shows us a placeholder for the next generation A series chip, and seems bigger than the corresponding area in the iPhone 5’s logic board.

Apart from that, the shape of the board at the bottom is different, possibly hinting at a different internal arrangement around the speaker area.

The increasing frequency of iPhone 5S related component leaks makes the rumored September-October a likely release timeframe. Like previous “S” upgrades, the iPhone 5S is widely expected to look like the iPhone 5, but come with improved internals such as a faster A-series processor, improved camera system and possibly new features such as fingerprint sensor and NFC.

The 4s was an improvement on the 4, and the 5 was another slight upgrade in terms of body style…if the s is an upgraded version, then this “5s” is really a 4sss…or perhaps a 4s^3

5 was as much of a performance upgrade over 4S as 4S was over 4. Add to that body style upgrade, both thinness and weight, better camera lens coating and LTE and you really can’t call 5 a slight upgrade.

–posted this as a comment instead of reply –moved it– I know the hardware is different. Im talking about the looks…everything since the iphone 4 has been a rounded rectangle with a metal band around the edge and a flat front/back.

Fair enough, I take it you call Samsung’s S2-S4 “same sh!t” then )

          • Jabsdv

I would call it sh!t, but essentially, yes. Howeverthey are aplty named, incremental numbers(Galaxy Sx), while the iphone is not the 4s again, but the 5. Apple’s naming scheme was the first revision had a nimber only, the second revision has an S appended to it. Howeverwith the recent models they have been revising it but continuing to give it a “new” name.

All im saying is that i don’t particularly like the way Apple markets some of its products… I didn’t think it would be such a big deal, just another comment that no one gave a moment of thought to…so calm down, okay?

You also changed the shape of the spoon and made it lighter and thinner and made it metal on its back.. Yeah, I’d call it a new product even on those changes alone.

As for “calm down, okay”? Are you talking to yourself? :)

Ahh, I see…you are just trolling me

          • Eugene

Not really, I’m watching you trolling yourself, you gotta get less condensed buddy )
