Guy invents a “better” MacBook charger, goes to Kickstarter to ask for some money

Pardon my ignorance, but I’m on a 2010 MacBook Pro, and my power connector is crazy strong. I have to yank it quite hard to remove it, sometimes to the point where I’m scared that I’ll break something. Apparently Apple has recently introduced new power connectors that are incredibly flimsy. So much so that some guy had to invent something called the “Snuglet”. It’s a metal ring that sits on your power connector and makes it more secure. How much does it cost? Depending on how early you give the guy money, between $12 and $19.

Should you support this Kickstart project? Who am I to tell you how to spend your money? Personally, I’d never add a piece of metal to another piece of metal that’s meant to transmit electricity from my wall to my computer, especially when my computer is an expensive MacBook. To tell you the truth, you shouldn’t even be using your laptop on your lap. Forget about the health reasons, computers need proper ventilation.

Anyway, now you know about the Snuglet. If you plan on buying one, leave a comment.
