Apple will unveil the next generation iPhone on September 10, according to AllThingsD.
AllThingsD reports that according to their sources, Apple is planning to hold a special event on that date.
Apple is expected to unveil its next iPhone at a special event on Sept. 10, sources told AllThingsD.
The launch comes at an important time for Apple, which continues to make a lot of money from the iPhone but has seen its global market share dip amid a growing wave of lower-cost Android devices as well as an intense battle with arch rival Samsung.
AllThingsD however does not mention when the new iPhone will be launched. It is also unclear if Apple will also unveil the rumored low-cost or budget ‘iPhone 5C’ at the special event.
The next generation iPhone, which is informally dubbed iPhone 5S, is expected to look similar to the iPhone 5, but come with improved internals such as a faster A7 chip with 2GB RAM, 12-megapixel camera, capability to take slow-motion videos, dual-LED flash, and may feature a fingerprint sensor. It will also come pre-installed with iOS 7.
We can’t wait to see what Apple has in store for us. What about you? Do you plan to buy the new iPhone?
