BGR reports that AT&T has implemented a vacation blackout for its employees in the second half of September.
This comes hot on the heels of news that T-Mobile has implemented a vacation blackout from September 20-22.
The vacation blackouts first by T-Mobile and now AT&T seem to strongly indicate that Apple’s carrier partners are gearing up for the launch of iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C on September 20 as we had predicted, and also reported by Japanese business newspaper Nikkei.
Multiple sources have informed BGR that AT&T has blacked out vacation days for the second half of September in preparation for the iPhone 5S launch date. [..]
[..] We were also told that AT&T will not be launching any other high-profile devices during the second half of September, again confirming that this time period is for the upcoming iPhones.
During the blackout, AT&T employees won’t be able to apply for a vacation. Carriers have usually implemented blackouts for the release of Apple’s new iPhone to ensure they’re adequately staffed to handle the surge in traffic.
