The next generation iPhone, iPhone 5s and the colorful iPhone 5c launched earlier today in 10 countries.
Apple has just issued a statement to AllThingsD saying that they are seeing unprecedented demand for the new iPhones and confirming that iPhone 5s models are either sold out or in limited supply.
Here’s a statement that was issued to AllThingsD:
“Demand for the new iPhones has been incredible and we are currently sold out or have limited supply of certain iPhone 5s models in some stores,” an Apple representative told AllThingsD.
Shipping estimates in the U.S. were initially 1-3 business days, however they quickly slipped to 7-10 business days. The gold iPhone 5s shipping quickly slipped to October.
Shipping estimates in other countries started with 7-10 business days. In case of Singapore and Hong Kong, the availability was even worse at launch, showing shipping estimates as October across all models.
We’re also hearing that there has been limited stock of gold iPhone 5s at Apple retail stores, and little or no stock at Apple’s carrier partners and Authorized resellers.
Meanwhile, availability of the colorful iPhone 5c is a lot better. According to Apple’s Online Store, shipping estimates for iPhone 5s is just 1-3 business says.
