Apple and Burberry have just announced that the fashion house will be using the new iPhone 5s to capture photos and video before, during and after the Burberry runway show in London on Monday, September 16.
From Apple’s press release:
Apple and Burberry today announced that iPhone 5s is being used to capture and share beautiful photos and video before, during and after the Burberry runway show in London on Monday, September 16. Using the all-new iSight camera on iPhone 5s, Burberry is shooting high quality photos and video for runway and beauty looks, product details, and backstage moments. The collaboration is reimagining how Burberry engages consumers, paving the way for significant changes in how they capture and share their content.
iPhone 5s comes with a vastly improved new camera system. It comes with ”a new, five-element Apple-designed lens” that has a larger f/2.2 aperture, as compared to the iPhone 5′s f/2.4 aperture. Notably, the megapixel count remains the same at 8-megapixel, but iPhone 5s’ camera comes with a new sensor that has 15 percent larger active sensor area, which allows it to take photos with bigger pixel (1.5 microns), capturing more light, better dynamic range of colors and less noise in the image, thus resulting in a better photograph. iPhone 5s also includes a “True Tone” dual LED flash, improved image stabalization and new camera modes such as Burst mode that lets you take up to 10 shots per second so that you don’t miss a moment. You can check out this post to find out more details about iPhone 5s’ camera.
Burberry plans to share the photos and videos from the runaway show on its social media channels. Burberry will also be live streaming the show on Monday, September 16, at 2:30 p.m. GMT+1 at www.burberry.com.
