Video of Cydia on iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1.3 confirms Untethered Jailbreak

Few days back, hacker winocm had revealed that he had a binary that untethers iOS 6.1.3.

A number of readers had raised doubts as he didn’t have a track record of releasing jailbreaks like the evad3rs dev team.

We now have proof that winocm has indeed figured out a way to jailbreak iOS 6.1.3. Jeff Benjamin has just published a video of Cydia running on an jailbroken iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1.3.

The jailbreak is still work in progress so Jeff couldn’t shown how to jailbreak the device and install Cydia. However, he does note that winocm is working on it and plans to release it as soon as possible.

Jeff doesn’t say if the the jailbreak is tethered or untethered, but based on winocm previous comments it does look like it will be untethered. And since it works on iOS 6.1.3, we’re assuming it will work on other iOS 6.1.3 compatible devices and also work on iOS 6.1.4 (iPhone 5).

Since iOS 7 will be released in couple of weeks, do you plan to upgrade to iOS 7, or will you wait for an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3/iOS 6.1.4?
