In some parts of the world it’s already September 20th, which means the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c are on sale in these early markets. As was rumored, supplies of the iPhone 5s handset appear to be limited.
When they came back online, Apple’s online stores in the UK, France and Germany were showing ship dates of 7-10 days for the 5s. This delay applies to all colors and models of the phone. Cases for the flagship phone are in high demand in Australia with ship dates already slipping to 3-5 days. In Hong Kong and Singapore, the situation was even worse with ship dates already extended out to October.
These constraints appear to only effect the iPhone 5s and not the iPhone 5c. UK carrier O2 announced today that it was selling the iPhone 5c in all retail venues, while the iPhone 5s was only available online and by phone. The 5s would not be in store for immediate purchase, but customers could reserve one and then come pick it up when it becomes available.
Will you be purchasing an iPhone 5s or 5c when sales kick off soon? If you already have one, how was the crowd?
