While an iOS 7 jailbreak doesn’t seem to be near release, we’re seeing plenty of jailbreak tweaks made for iOS 7. Sicarius is a new jailbreak tweak that modifies the iOS 7 multitasking switcher to let you kill all apps at once and respring your device. It also adds a 3D card animation when scrolling through the app preview cards or killing apps.
The tweak lets you kill all apps in the multitasking switcher by swiping up on the home screen. Once all apps are killed, another swipe up on the home screen card will respring your device.
Here’s a video demo:
The developer of the tweak has made it open source, and the code is available on GitHub.
The developer has demoed the jailbreak app on a jailbroken iPhone 4. As you probably know, pre-A5 devices such as iPhone 4 have a bootrom exploit that can be used to jailbreak it using tools such as opensn0w or Ragebreak. You can check out this post in our Forums to find out more details on how to jailbreak iPhone 4 on iOS 7.
Earlier today, we saw an iOS 7 jailbreak tweak that let users use apps in the multitasking switcher, effectively enabling Quasar-like multitasking. Another iOS 7 jailbreak tweak teased was Ryan Petrich’s video multitasking jailbreak app VideoPane.
If you’re wondering what’s the status on the iOS 7 jailbreak then there haven’t been any updates from the evad3rs team worth reporting since our last status update. But these jailbreak tweak teasers should make the wait worthwhile.
If and when a jailbreak is released, we’ll let you as soon as there are any further updates, so stay tuned here at iPhone Hacks or join our Facebook Fan page, follow us on Twitter, add us to your circles on Google+ or subscribe to our RSS feed.
