Plex for iOS, the mobile companion to the popular desktop media server, has a new look and feel to match the design of iOS 7. An update with this refreshed UI was released today and brings the app up to version 3.3.
Plex is a media platform that allows you to stream video, music and photos from a Plex media server straight to other devices like your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. The server will convert the video on the fly, allowing you to view your entire library on your iOS device. And if you sign up for the myPlex service, you can stream your content over cellular. You can even connect to other Plex servers that are shared by your friends. It’s a robust environment that works especially well on the big screen of the iPad.
This latest version updates the app for iOS 7, bringing with it a new player interface for music and videos. There are also a handful of performance and stability improvements. You can download Plex from the iOS App Store for $4.99.
