In October, DisplaySearch had predicted that Apple would launch iPhone 6 with 4.7-inch and 5.7-inch screen, 12.9-inch iPad Pro, Retina MacBook Air, iWatch with 1.3-inch or 1.63-inch flexible AMOLED display and 55-inch & 65-inch Television sets in 2014.
The research firm has just published another report based on information they’ve received from their supply chain sources. They speculate that Apple may launch the following new products:
- iPhone 6 with a 4.7-inch screen with 1600×900 resolution and 386 pixel per inch (ppi), and another one with 5.5-inch with 1920×1080 resolution and 401 ppi. There have been several rumors that Apple is working on iPhones with bigger displays. Even if Apple does end up launching iPhones with bigger screens, we expect Apple to continue offering the 4-inch iPhone.
- DisplaySearch also claims that Apple could launch an iPad with 12.9-inch screen with 2732×2048 resolution and 265 ppi. There have been rumors that Apple will launch a bigger iPad with a 12.9-inch screen later this year.
- DisplayResearch reiterates that Apple could launch an iWatch with 1.3-inch or 1.63-inch flexible AMOLED display for women and men respectively.
If these speculations turn out to be accurate then 2014 is going to be exciting year.
