Thirty years ago, Apple introduced the original Macintosh. Apple has just launched a new webpage to celebrate the milestone.

To celebrate the milestone Apple has created a 30-year timeline, which highlights some of the people who have made a profound impact using the Mac,

Thirty years ago, Apple introduced the Macintosh with the promise to put the creative power of technology in everyone’s hands. It launched a generation of innovators who continue to change the world. This 30‑year timeline celebrates some of those pioneers and the profound impact they’ve made. 

When you visit the site, it auto-plays the following video, which celebrates some of those pioneers and the incredible impact they’ve made.

You can also click on Your First Mac link in the top right corner, where you can share with Apple about your first Mac, to see the big, 30-year picture of its place in the world.
