evasi0n7 1.0.3 released to fix Retina iPad mini reboot loop issue; support iOS 7.1 beta 3

evad3rs has just released evasi0n7 1.0.3 to fix the reboot loop issues that was affecting Retina iPad mini users.

evasi0n7 brings support for iOS 7.1 beta 3, which was seeded by Apple to developers few days back and includes the latest Cydia bundle, which should ensure that the latest version of Cydia is installed when users jailbreak their device.

A number of Retina iPad mini users had reported that their device was getting stuck in an endless reboot loop, forcing them to put their device in recovery mode to restore the device.

I was a little surprised to see evad3rs release evasi0n7 with support for a beta version of iOS software update, but it is probably because iOS 7.1 beta 3 does not patch the exploits used in the jailbreak, and there was no risk of exposing any new exploits.

If you were facing the problem, evasi0n7 1.0.3 should fix the issue. If you’ve already jailbroken your iOS device using evasi0n7 then you can ignore the update.

evasi0n7 is an untethered jailbreak which supports iOS 7, iOS 7.0.1, iOS 7.0.2, iOS 7.0.3, iOS 7.0.4.

It is compatible with the following iOS devices:

  • iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4
  • iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2
  • Retina iPad mini, iPad mini
  • iPod touch 5G

You can download the latest update from our download page.

Should I use this one or 1.0.2 is also ok for 4s?

    • Gautam

Use evasi0n7 1.0.3. It should be fine for iPhone 4s as well. However, remember to do the following before you proceed:

      1. Take a backup of your device with iTunes.

      2. Turn off Encrypt iTunes backup if it is enabled.

      3. Turn off your passcode.

  • Brian

Please help, I have an infinite reboot, and I mean like, Infinite!
It will give the loading screen like its respringing for a couple minutes, that it will go into the apple logo for a couple of minutes. All efforts to go into recovery mode are futile. Also tried holding for 10 minutes on home and lock button and it eventually shut off. As soon as I turned it on, it started again. I have an IPad Mini 16g. Not a retina display its the first model. I believe I am on 7.0.4 (last update right after christmas) And I used the first release of the jailbreaking programs to jailbreak it.

    EXTRA INFO:
    IPad Mini, First gen, 16g
Started after the screen kept freezing, after I updated MulticonMover+ (Than resprang)
After it froze the screen I tried to hold down the lockscreen and home button until it restarted and id let go.
Now its been in this infinite respring/apple logo/respring for about 6 hours.
Ive tried many times to go into recovery mode, shut it down, run anything on the computer, or do anything of the matter but its not working.
    PLEASE HELP!
