iOS 7.1 beta 3 does not patch evasi0n7 jailbreak

evasi0n jailbreak

Apple just seeded the third beta version of iOS 7.1 to developers.

If you’re a jailbreaker, and worried if Apple has fixed the exploits in the latest beta version, then we’ve an update.

iH8ns0w, developer of jailbreak tools such as Sn0wbreeze and more recently p0sixspwn, the untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 – iOS 6.1.5, has just tweeted that Apple has not fixed the exploits in iOS 7.1 beta 3.

evad3rs are yet to confirm it. However, winocm has confirmed that evasi0n7 still works on iOS 7.1 beta 3. You need to hack the evasi0n7 file to get it to work with iOS 7.1 beta 3:

It however does not mean that the exploits won’t be fixed in the version that is released to the public. Apple usually fixes vulnerabilities used in jailbreak tools to prevent them from working with the latest iOS software update to stay ahead of the cat and mouse game with jailbreakers.

It is advisable for jailbreakers to avoid upgrading to iOS 7.1 beta, as evad3rs won’t be releasing a jailbreak for the beta versions.
