Apple has reportedly inked a deal with LG for 1.52 inch flexible OLED displays to be used in the company’s much-rumored iWatch. The rumor comes from Korean site DDaily, which published and then pulled the report soon after.
The report says that production of these display panels would start in the third-quarter of this year, with an initial volume of 2 million units. LG has already started mass production of curved glass displays, and is using them in the LG G Flex, the smartphone that can bend and self-heal.
Apple has reportedly put its Television plans on the backseat to focus on the iWatch, but is currently facing manufacturing issues, and trying to improve battery life. Other rumors suggest that the iWatch would have wireless charging built-in, and contrary to this post, would come in two different sizes for men and women.
