Ayeris is a new iOS 7 theme that changes everything with subtlety

Are you a fan of the icons in iOS 7, but want something just a bit different? Well, ayeris might be what you’ve been looking for.  Surenix, who brought us ayecon, has now embarked on a theme that matches the feel of iOS 7 in a much better way. The subtle changes are sometimes hard to notice, but when put all together you have a great theme.

There are around 150 supported icons for ayeris and I’m sure there will be more in coming updates.  But, what ayeris offers is a new look that was made from scratch but still stays true to the iOS 7 design. What you will notice the most is how subtle changes can really make a big difference if you’re switching from the stock icons to ayeris.

You’ll also notice some minor changes to some of the UI. In Safari, you can see the sharp corners of the icons have been rounded off. And in the picture below, if you have “SafariTabCount” then the number isn’t aligned like it used to be, but otherwise the differences are nice.

In the Mail app, you can see a small difference in the mailbox icons, as well.  The icons have obviously changed, but so have the mailbox trays to the left. It can be hard to tell a difference unless you’re looking at them side by side, but the changes are there. Ayeris adds a blue tint over the top of the trays and rounds off the Compose icon corners at the bottom.

If you have the location marker in your status bar, you’ll see that it has been touched up, too.

With the purchase of ayeris you also get 6 different wallpapers that compliment the theme well.

To quote Surenix:

“ayeris goes beyond the beautiful icons to across iOS 7’s user interface from subtle navigation bars, to the Mail.app and all the way to the tab bars in Safari application. It really is unbelievable how the simplest changes makes the biggest difference to the user experience.”

I think the icons look great, but a lot of people find the $3.99 price tag a little hard to swallow. There are a lot of great themes that look just as good or even better for a lot less.  So I’m anxious to here what you guys have to say about ayeris.  Let us know in the comments below!
