Yesterday we showed you Weatherboard, which gives you weather themed animated wallpapers. And many of you wanted the animated wallpapers to show the current weather for your location. Well, Forecast does just that. It also gives you a nice minimalistic look on the lock screen for quick reference of the temperature, high and low temp, and the weather.
This is newly updated tweak that we’ve seen in iOS 6, but the iOS 7 version is a complete rewrite and it does a great job of matching the look and feel of iOS 7. It also has a very simple setup, so if you’re not a fan of changing the location of the weather by using iFile, like in iOS 7 Lockscreen Weather, then you’ll really enjoy this. Here’s how to get it:
- Make sure you have your current location set on the first page of the Weather app
- Open Cydia
- Search for “Forecast”
- Download, install, respring
You will notice on your lock screen you will get your current temperature, high and low temperature for that day, and what the weather is like outside. You can also swipe the lock screen to the left for a daily forecast (swiping to the left on the daily forecast will gives you a 12 hour forecast) and right below that, a 5 day forecast for the coming week .
You can make any changes you’d like within the settings. Here you can show/hide the current weather on the lock screen, show/hide forecast page and even toggle on or off the animated wallpapers on the lock screen and the home screen.
