Asphaleia: Upcoming Jailbreak Tweak by developers of Auxo will let you lock apps with Touch ID

We’ve already seen couple of tweaks (BioProtect and BioLockdown) that take advantage of iPhone 5s’ Touch ID to let you lock apps using your fingerprint.

A3Tweaks, developers behind Auxo, the popular alternative for the app switcher in iOS 6, have recently revealed that they’re also working on a Touch ID tweak called Asphaleia.

The teaser video they’ve released seems to suggest that it will allow users to lock apps using iPhone 5s Touch ID. The animation when you use Touch ID to unlock an app looks quite cool.

In case you’re wondering about the name, Asphaleia means safety, security, and reliability in Greek, which makes it quite an apt name for a tweak that will let you lock apps.

They haven’t revealed any other details, but have said that “they’ve lots of functionality to show off”. We won’t have to wait too long to find out as they plan to release the tweak next week. We’re also eagerly waiting for A3Tweaks to release Auxo 2, which will come with a completely reimagined user interface and gestures.
