Warning for Jailbreakers

Apple has patched number of vulnerabilities in iOS 7.1 that was used by evasi0n7 jailbreak, so jailbreakers should avoid upgrading to iOS 7.1 until further notice as you will lose the jailbreak and won’t be able to jailbreak your device.

If you want to update to iOS 7.1

If you don’t care about jailbreaking then you can update your device to iOS 7.1 wirelessly or “over the air.” Before you update it is recommended that you take a backup of your device using iTunes or iCloud.

After taking your backup, plug in your device to a power source, launch the Settings app, navigate to General > Software Update, and install the update.

7.1 doesn’t offer anything that I’d give up my jailbreak for, so I’ll pass.

Evasi0n needs to fix the bug that forces you to restore your phone if you updated to 7.0.4 or whichever thru the ota update and not iTunes since soon iTunes will only let you update/restore to 7.1

im pissed they never make it for ipod 4g

    • Fajr Lodhi

6.1.4 is good enough, u’re jailbroken for life!

Im in Canada and I cant find Itunes radio after the update, or Carplay , are there apps that have to be downloaded, theres a few visual tweeks but nothing else, by the looks of things

    • Gautam

iTunes Radio is only available in the US and Australia. As for CarPlay, you need to connect your iPhone to a CarPlay ready car for it work.

Does anyone know if 7.1 has the option to turn on Dark Keyboard Throughout the system. This might be incorporated in one of the other toggles but I wast sure. I think this was added in one of the Betas, but as most of you know, it could have been removed.

    that were used

More natural voices for uk Siri, is that a joke? They now sound absolutely awful. The male voice is like a female Stephen hawkin.

OMG….this thing got so hot that I even got a notification from the phone saying “Temperature now, iPhone needs to cool down”
This happened right after installing the new update, I was just using the gps.
It was really, really hot…..I restarted the phone after updating though.

I hate it! I’m glad I only installed it on my iPad. My iPhone is jailbroken, so I’d rather have it jailbroken.

  • Kevin Chiu

I wonder why Apple highlight the performance improvement of iPhone 4 only, which was unacceptable on 7.0, further strengthen my believe that they make old hardware working worse, what a shame!!
