If you saw our previous post about HipJot, then chances are you were pretty excited about the release. Well, the beta is now here. And after testing it out, I’m pretty amazed at how much I like this keyboard.
Even if you’re not familiar with Swype-like keyboards, there isn’t really a huge learning curve to get your typing to be pretty accurate. In order to get this tweak, you’ll need to add this repo: cydia.myrepospace.com/jormy. Once you do, the name of the tweak is actually called “nin” and it’s the only tweak in the repo, so it should be easy to find.
Once installed, just respring and start using it. It will work in various apps, but since this is a beta, it won’t work in all the desired locations, such as any quick reply/compose tweaks, spotlight, or if you have a banner notification while typing it will stop working. But, don’t let that deter you from checking out this awesome tweak.
There’s a ton of different customizations. You can change the color of the keyboard, resize/realign, change the layout and more. Tap and hold on the spacebar to initiate a menu. From there you can choose what you want to do.
As you can see in the picture above there are a lot of options, but some of them don’t work in the beta, so we’ll have to wait until the official release. You can still fully customize the keyboard by changing the color, split/adjust/resize it, and changing the layout of the keys. But, the tweak options is still under development so we’ll have to wait to see what that holds.
But, you really can’t get a feel of this keyboard by looking at some screenshots, you really need to see it in action, so go ahead and check out the video below to see how it works.
Some people are reporting that they are getting symbols instead of keys once they install the tweak, so keep that in mind as this tweak is still not 100%.
But, as always, let us know what you think about this keyboard in the comments below!
