One feature I’d love to see come to the iPhone is expandable storage. But, in reality this isn’t something I see coming for quite some time. So, for that reason, you need to keep the data on the device tidy, so you don’t have stuff on your device that you either don’t need, or don’t want taking up valuable space. Disk Pie is going to help you do just that.
Once you download and install Disk Pie from Cydia for$1.99, you’ll see a brand new app on your springboard. Just open up the app and it will begin scanning your device to let you know how much capacity you have total, how much you’re using, and how that used space is allocated.
The pie chart at the top dynamically changes while it scans and updates in real time. Once it’s finished you can go ahead and start tapping on those directories below in order to open subfolders/files in which you can delete in order to free up space. If you’re deleting photos/videos you can even view them directly from the app before deleting them to make sure you’re not deleting something important. To delete, simply tap “Edit” and the “-” button.
This is a very simple way to keep track of your usage and manage your storage to keep some free space on your device. If you’d like to see a video tutorial of this tweak in action, then go ahead and check out the video below:
