OnePlus is a new smartphone company based out of China that recently released its flagship “One” phone based on Android. To promote the OnePlus One, the company has started an unusual campaign titled Smash, where it’ll choose 100 lucky users to smash their existing phone and get a new OnePlus One for $1.
As part of the campaign, OnePlus has published a new video on YouTube showing the iPhone 5s getting smashed into pieces by a 40,000 pounds force in slow motion. We’re used to seeing the annual “will it blend” videos, but a video that shows the iPhone being destroyed into pieces in slow motion is a different thing altogether.
The OnePlus One is a $299 phone with high-end specs including a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM, 2.5GHz processor and more.
Let us know what you think about the video, and the OnePlus Smash promotion campaign in the comments below.
