T-Mobile announced that potential customers can test their network with an iPhone 5s for seven days for free. It also announced that customers can listen to music streaming services like Pandora, Spotify, Rhapsody, iHeart Radio, Slacker, and iTunes Radio without eating into their data or running up overages.
T-Mobile President and CEO John Legere has just posted a blog post to give an update on the new initiatives. He reports that more than 12,000 potential customers have already signed up for the test drive their network starting June 23rd.
T-Mobile is also asking users to vote for which music services should be included in Music Freedom. So far over 75,000 votes have been cast, and Google Play Music and Xbox Music are the top contenders.
T-Mobile is offering internet radio service powered by Rhapsody called unRadio for free as part of its Un-carrier 6.0 initiative to new customers who signup for Simple Choice unlimited 4G LTE service.
