As consumers wait for the public builds of OS X Yosemite to get released, Apple is still building OS X Mavericks to stay stable, and add features where necessary. Today, the company has seeded the first build of OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 to developers.
The release of the first beta for OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 follows the public release of 10.9.4 to the public one month ago, and as usual the Software Update option can be utilized to access the beta software for developers. The build number is 13F7, and it should be available through the Mac Developer Portal on Apple’s site soon. (It was still not present as of the time of publication.)
As of now, it is unknown what new features or tweaks have been included in the beta software, but Apple is asking developers to put a keen focus on USB Smart Cards, Safari, Graphics, and USB in general. There will obviously be some bug fixing, as well as stability and performance enhancements for good measure.
