According to German developer Florian Schimanke, the upcoming Apple Store in Hanover, Germany is expected to open in late September. The retail store is currently under construction and covered by Apple’s iconic black wall barricades to prevent onlookers from getting a sneak peek before the store opens.
According to Schimanke’s personal blog (translated article), citing at least one source with knowledge of the matter, Apple has been working on making structural improvements to the building and dealing with a larger mold problem.
“Recently Apple had built a new scaffold in front of the building – apparently to continue to work on the defects to the building fabric. In addition, for some time keep persistent rumors about a larger mold problem in the building. It remains the hope of the correctness of the transmitted information supplied to me.”
The company has reportedly already hired and trained employees in time for the retail store’s launch in just a few months.
If these plans go as expected, customers in Hanover, Germany should be able to purchase the iPhone 6 from this Apple Store in September.
Apple is expected to hold its traditional store launch event during its opening week.
