Spotify recently updated their iOS app to include an Equalizer, a feature that many users had been requesting for quite some time. At the same time, it was revealed that invites for Canadian users would be sent out soon, to test the app ahead of a public launch. That time has finally come.
As first reported by 9to5Mac, the invites to Canadians who are interested in trying out Spotify ahead of a public launch have begun going out. Users in Canada simply had to request a position within the queue to try out the limited trial app. If you did that, then there’s a chance you’ll receive an invite to test out the app soon.
And Spotify is pretty excited about it:
“Congratulations — you’re in!
You’ve been chosen to try Spotify in Canada before everyone else!
Millions of songs are now waiting for you. The artists you love, the latest hits and new discoveries— all for free on mobile, tablet and desktop. Happy listening!“
In July, Spotify confirmed that the long-awaited app would be finally landing in Canada within the next few months.
As of the time of this writing, Canada is still not listed on Spotify’s full list of supported territories, but hopefully that’s changing soon.
Did you get an invite to try out Spotify?
