Apple to live stream the iPad event on October 16

Apple's October 16 iPad event

MacRumors has just reported that Apple plans to offer live stream of its special event on October 16.

The event will be live streamed on Apple’s website and through a dedicated channel on Apple TV, just like last month’s iPhone 6 and Apple Watch event.

Apple sent out invites for the special event on October 16 earlier in the week with the tag line “It’s been way too long.” The event will be held at the Town Hall auditorium on the company’s Cupertino campus at 10:00 AM Pacific Time.

Apple is widely expected to unveil the next generation iPad Air, possibly the next generation iPad mini, and iMac with Retina display. Apple may also announce the release date for OS X Yosemite.

You will be able to watch the live stream of the event only on Apple devices. We will provide more details on how to watch the event as soon as we’ve more details.

Let’s hope that we don’t hit the issues like we did with the September 9th iPhone event as the stream simply couldn’t cope with the demand.

As always, we’ll be bringing live coverage of the event.
