The popular jailbreak tweak CallBar has received a major update this week with a complete user interface redesign and Notification Center integration as two of the bigger new features. The latest version of CallBar for iOS 7 also includes complete call handling for Phone and FaceTime audio calls and several other features.
CallBar is a useful jailbreak tweak that redesigns the incoming call view so that it does not fully disrupt the current task you are doing on your iPhone. When you receive a call, a half-sized banner pops up that allows you to keep using your iPhone while choosing to answer, decline or dismiss a call without stopping what you are doing.
The tweak integrates with Activator to allow you to place calls from anywhere on iOS by activating the dialer interface based on the action of your choice, such as triple tapping the Home button or sliding your finger along the left side of the screen. The default gesture is tapping and holding on the Status Bar.
Overall, the tweak makes the incoming call experience much more convenient. It even works with the iPod touch because of FaceTime audio call support, giving users of the portable media player some much needed love.
The full list of key new features is as follows:
- Notification Center integration
- Redesigned user interface
- Complete call handling for Phone and FaceTime audio calls
- New dialer user interface that can fully replace the Phone app
CallBar for iOS 7 is available for $3.99 on the Cydia Store in the default BigBoss repo. The update is free for existing users of the tweak.
