Following the conclusion of Apple’s special media event in Cupertino this afternoon, in which the company unveiled the all-new iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3, official pictures of the tablets have been added to the Apple website. For a closer look at the new iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 design and features, check out the two galleries posted after the break.
Apple has focused much of its effort on the iPad Air 2, which is claimed to be the thinnest tablet in the world at just 6.1mm thin. To put that in perspective, the iPad Air 2 is thinner than the already impressively thin iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus at 6.9mm and 7.1mm respectively. Let’s just hope that there isn’t another Bendgate situation for the iPad.
iPad Air 2 also has an improved display that fuses three layers into one to be thinner and provide more vivid colors and greater contrast. The addition of anti-reflective coating also gives the iPad Air 2 the least reflective display of any tablet in the world.
Meanwhile, the iPad mini 3 has an identical design to the previous-generation iPad mini with Retina display outside of the addition of Touch ID. But enough talk about the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3, and time to get a visual look at each new tablet with the galleries posted below.
